The idea of the Alpine Training Base was firstly given at the end of 2008, when our Founders - Mrs and Mr Grazyna and Marek Pasek and Mr Fabrizio Cozzi, informed us about possibility of founding a place for a training base in olympic village of Pragelato. The first concept of the Training Base objectives was to help novice mountain enthusiasts in their first steps in exploring Alpine mountain ranges, by cooperation with specialists from Alpine region mountain communities. As the project was developing, the objectives were extended to include scientific and artistic aspects. Finally, the main objectives of the Alpine Training Base - Pragelato are: - Organization of trainings in the field of secure mountain exploration.
- Organization of international trainings and exchanges between mountain rescue institutions, avalanche warning services, circles of mountain guides and science institutions, related to secure mountain exploration issues.
- Organization of science seminars and courses on mountain safety, promotion of GIS and environment teledetection systems in the context of technology transfer for increasing mountain exploration safety.
- Organization of exhibitions of the works created by the Foundation Patron and people involved in similar artistic activities.
The more detailed information regarding participation in trainings and possibilities of using the Alpine Training Base resources, will appear on our website shortly.
